You are what you eat so they say and it turns out its true. What we intake into our bodies effects everything from how we feel to how we look. The list of foods that are bad for our skin reads just like the list straight from a dietician.
We all have beauty routines – some are simply better than others. The nighttime basics usually consist of removing your makeup, washing your face, moisturizing, and then maybe applying some special anti-aging or eye treatments.
Hyaluronic Acid is featured in our Anti-Aging Bio Cellulose Facial Mask. Also known as Hyaluronan, Hyaluronate or HA, it is well known and used widely in anti-wrinkle products. It has been touted as “the fountain of youth” by the industry.
One of the problems you encounter when living in the North Eastern U.S. during the winter is dry skin due to forced air heat. Of course all heat is drying to your skin, but forced air heat seems to be the worst.
Of course not. You can’t purchase a dime store facial mask at your local bodega or Asian market and expect it to be as good as a Bel Mondo Mask. Sure, the $2 mask will be wet and applying it will give you a very temporary boost in moisture (the same as splashing your face with water). But a cheap mask won’t infuse your skin with deep, super hydration, nor will it stay moist for 20, 30, 40 minutes or longer.
So as I write I’m wearing my mask, sipping some wine, and sharing skin care tips with the world. However tonight, as I followed my normal routine, ready to write about skin care or our wonderful Bel Mondo masks – a funny thing happened.
So you know that we encourage that you get and have a skin care routine and also that you spend time with a little trial and error finding what products work for you and your skin. But how long should you give each product when trying it out?
When you think of skin care, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? If you’re like most people, the words skin care conjure images of tubes and jars and bottles – creams, lotions, and potions that promise to help our skin look its best.
This month’s ingredient is Niacinamide. Niacinamide has a breadth of benefits, including restoring suppleness and Inhibiting the transfer of melanosomes (interrupting the process that causes irregular pigmentation).
It’s never too early to let your daughters (and sons) see that you take good care of your skin. And it’s not about vanity; it’s about health.
