The Story Behind Our Moisture Renewal Mask

Seeking a meaningful way to extend our product line, Bel Mondo Beauty reached out in 2020 to Becky Kuehn, Founder and Director of Education at Oncology Spa Solutions, and asked her to steer the development of a sheet mask for alleviating the harsh side effects to skin caused by cancer therapies.

The idea was to take Bel Mondo’s signature bio cellulose mask fabric – prized for its occlusiveness – and infuse it with “oncology approved” ingredients that would gently hydrate and soothe extremely dry, sensitive skin — without risk of irritation.

Over a nine-month period, multiple prototype masks were evaluated by 30 oncology-trained estheticians, including Becky, who utilized the masks with patients at two hospital cancer-care centers located in her home state of Washington.

The feedback from these skin care professionals and the clients they worked with was exceedingly positive; Bel Mondo proudly launched its Moisture Renewal Mask and today it is the company’s top-selling product.

Bel Mondo operates as a Mission Partner to OSS, and donates product to non-profit organizations that provide no-cost or low-cost spa services to those on the cancer journey.

Our Contribution

Since collaborating with Oncology Spa Solutions, Bel Mondo has donated approximately 12% of its facial sheet masks and decollete sheet masks to non-profit organizations and independent practitioners who provide low-cost and no-cost spa services to clients with cancer. 

Additionally, Bel Mondo is pleased to provide sample products to OSS that are used to support skin care professionals in their quest to become “oncology-trained”.
